Milton Resident Laces Up Hockey Skates To Fight Cancer Feb. 4

The Rink Rats will face the Boston Bruins Alumni to benefit the Jimmy Fund. Game tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children.

From Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: Milton resident Peter Obersheimer will be among the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute doctors, researchers, and staff who will play a charity hockey game against the Boston Bruins alumni to benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber. The Dana-Farber Rink Rats’ game will be held Saturday, February 4 from 3:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m. at LoConte Rink in Medford.

Peter is an Attorney Fellow at Dana-Farber.

He has committed to raise $1,000 in order to play in the February 4 game. Game tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and are available online and at the door.

There will also be a special skills and drills clinic for the first 10 people who want to play starting at 2:00 p.m. The clinic will be taught by Boston Bruins alumni and is open to friends and family of Rink Rats players. To have the opportunity, clinic participants must raise a minimum of $500 for the Jimmy Fund.
