American Legion Post No. 114 will lead the traditional Memorial Day observance in Milton on Monday, May 27. The keynote speaker will be Marine and Army Special Forces veteran Gregory Kelly. The events will begin at Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. with a flag raising and the placing of a wreath. The Milton High School band will perform the National Anthem on the Town Green before the participants march to Milton Cemetery. The customary ceremony at Milton Cemetery will begin around 10 a.m. Representatives from town government and Legion Post No. 114 will speak at the cemetery, followed by Kelly's address. Milton High School chorus members will provide music at the cemetery ceremony.
