3 Newton Businesses Win Best Of Boston 2019
Buttonwood restaurant in Newton Highlands and a couple others got some props from Boston Magazine in its July issue.

NEWTON, MA — This city has a lot of great things about it, from restaurants to spots to get your entertaining essentials. You may have already known this, but this year's annual ranking, put out by Boston Magazine, recognized three of the spots formally.
This year the magazine's "Best of Boston 2019" awards named 314 winners in arts & culture, dining, shopping and more across Boston, the Cape and the suburbs. Three winners hailed from Newton this year.
One of them was Buttonwood restaurant, which was first Sycamore before it opened in early 2018 to much acclaim—then promptly shut down after an electrical fire in the kitchen.

"Now they’re back and better than ever, slinging crowd-pleasing small plates, mains, and craft cocktails (including a spicy draft negroni) for their grateful neighbors," read the review, which points out the spot features local craft brew and the crispy pork ribs with sticky Thai glaze and pineapple and "friendly vibes."
