Man Tried To Lure Boy Into Car Using Puppy: Newton Police
Police said a boy's dad reported the suspicious event Monday night.

NEWTON, MA — Police are warning residents to be vigilant after a family reported a man approached boy Monday night as he was walking to a friend’s house.
A man leaning against his car parked on the wrong side of the road along Beethoven avenue near Winslow Road between the aqueduct asked a 12-year-old walking by if he wanted to see a puppy he had in the trunk of his car, according to police. The boy later told police he declined and kept going and the man didn't push it or follow him.
But the boy did text his dad immediately after, and his dad called police.
