Newton Woman Throws Hammer, Sprays Bleach In Attack: Cops
Asia Dotten-Jiles attacked another woman in Littleton, according to police.

NEWTON, MA — Police said a Newton woman threw a hammer at and sprayed bleach on another woman Wednesday in Littleton. Asia Dotten-Jiles, 22, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. Littleton police initially charged her with attempted murder but that charge was dropped.
On Wednesday, July 10, about 6 p.m., someone called Littleton police to report an assault. When officers got there, witnesses told them Dotten-Jiles confronted a woman who was visiting someone on Green Needles Road. The woman left for dinner, but when she came back Dotten-Jiles was waiting with a hammer and spray bottle with bleach in it, police said.
Police said Dotten-Jiles threw the hammer at the woman — hitting her in the shoulder and head — before spraying bleach at her. The other woman, who was carrying a can of pepper spray, used it on Dotten-Jiles, who ran inside, police said. By the time police got inside, Dotten-Jiles had showered to alleviate the effects of the pepper spray, police said. She was subsequently arrested.
