ARHS Girls Cross-Country Places 3rd at Quabbin Invitational

The Algonquin Regional High School girls cross-country team placed third during the 13th Annual Quabbin Invitational, held Saturday at Quabbin Regional High School in Barre.

The Tomahawks earned 92 points, finishing in 1:49:48.10, according to coolrunning.com. Wachusett won the 10-team meet with 15 points (1:39:04.16). Shrewsbury was second with 88 points (1:49:29.82). 

Wachusett had the first six finishers in the 2.92-mile race, starting with senior Colleen Sands (19:39.15).

Algonquin junior Kendyl Finelli (10th, 21:13.92), sophomore Amanda Pageau (11th, 21:15.92) amd junior Monica Kearney (19th, 22:07.14) finished in the top 20.
