Subway Restaurant will be opening up next to Cocobeni Confections in the plaza at 247 West Main St.

Builders from GMG Group told Patch it should be about two to two-and-a-half months until the restaurant is complete.

The project's consultant, who is a franchisee owning four Subways in Massachusetts, preferred to remain anonymous, but confirmed that the Subway would be opening by the end of June or beginning of July. It is owned by Nick Patel, who also owns Subways in Worcester, Millbury and Southborough.

"The Northborough site was chosen due to its proximity to his other stores and the opportunity to open a new store on Route 20 in a town that does not currently have a Subway location," said the consultant.
