
Northorough's Household Hazardous Waste Day will be Saturday, Oct. 26, Town Engineer Fred Litchfield said Thursday in a press release.
The program is open only to Northborough residents with a labeled waste carrier, Litchfield said.
These residents may bring their container to 190 Main St. from 9 a.m. to noon.
One box per Northborough address will be available for $10 at the Northborough Fire Station, 11 Pierce St., at these times: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 and Tuesday, Oct. 22, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19. Residents must present a photo identification.
The materials which will be permitted at the drop-off are:
- oils (spent motor oil)
- gasoline
- gasoline mixtures
- auto batteries
- pesticides
- thinners
- spent antifreeze
- oil-based paints and stains
- photo chemicals
- pool chemicals
- household chemicals (drain cleaners, cleaners, detergents, etc.)
- aerosols
- fluorescent light bulbs
Residents will be asked to present their driver's license and labeled container at the gate.
