Northborough To Start Downtown Road Construction

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Some roads in downtown Northborough will be under construction starting at the end of the month, drivers should expect delays.

Starting Aug. 31, Eversource will be working to replace the gas main on Main Street between Hudson Street and Church Street. The work is expected to last about four weeks.

Town officials are suggesting drivers use alternate routes to avoid the area and the expected delays.

During the first two weeks, work will be done at night from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The second two weeks, work will be done during the day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Two lanes for eastbound traffic and one lane for westbound traffic will be open in the morning and two lanes of westbound traffic and one lane for eastbound traffic will be open during the afternoon.
