Tomahawks Boys X-C 3rd at Mid-Wach A Championships

Three Algonquin Regional High School boys cross-country runners finished in the top 20.

Three Algonquin Regional High School boys cross-country runners finished in the top 20 at Saturday's Mid-Wach A Cross-Country Championships, held at Marlborough's Ghiloni Park.

Senior Sam Brazer finished the 5K seventh, in 16:58.1, according to coolrunning.com. Seniors Declan Healey (14th, 17:46.8) and Robert Kerstens (15th, 18:08.2) also led the Tomahawks.

Algonquin finished third overall at the six-team meet, with 82 points. Shrewsbury won the meet, with 27 points. Wachusett was second, with 46 points.

The top three runners were Shrewsbury junior Tyler O'Keefe (first, 16:32.4), Wachusett sophomore Grant Hauver (second, 16:33.5) and Shrewsbury sophomore Jackson Southard (third, 16:50.8).
