Tomahawks Girls Soccer Earns First-Round Bye

The Algonquin Regional High School varsity girls soccer team has earned a first-round bye in the Sectionals.
The Tomahawks will open the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Soccer Central Division 1 tournament by hosting Quabbin in a quarterfinal at 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the bracket.
The Quabbin-Algonquin winner advances to the semi-finals.
Algonquin (13-2-3) is seeded third in the 10-team tourney. Quabbin (8-7-2) is seeded sixth.
