Tomahawks Girls X-C 2nd at Mid-Wach A Championships
The Algonquin Regional High School girls cross-country team placed six runners in the top 20.

The Algonquin Regional High School girls cross-country team placed six runners in the top 20 at Saturday's Mid-Wach A Cross-Country Championships, held at Marlborough's Ghiloni Park.
Junior Megan Walsh finished the 5K third, in 20:19.4, according to coolrunning.com. Senior Kyra Shreeve was fifth (21:16.3), followed by junior Kendyl Finelli (seventh, 21:25.2); freshman Alex Madamba (11th, 22:03.3); sophomore Amanda Pageau (14th, 22:16.4); and junior Laura Sacco (17th, 22:40.9).
Algonquin finished second in the five-team meet, with 38 points. Wachusett was first, with 21 points. Leominster was third, with 83 points.
Wachusett senior Colleen Sands won the 5K in 20:12.5. Wachusett sophomore Kate Gobi was second, in 20:12.8.
