The Town of Northborough is offering additional COVID-19 booster clinics for ages 18+ and pediatric vaccine clinics for ages 5-11.Β  All clinics will be held at the Northborough Senior Center (119 Bearfoot Rd, Northborough).Β  Pre-registration is required.Β  Clinics are open to the public.Β  Please enter your insurance information when registering online. You will receive an email confirmation once registered.

According to the CDC, everyone ages 18 and older should get a booster shot either when they are 6 months after their initial Pfizer or Moderna series or 2 months after their initial J&J vaccine.Β  CDC recommendations allow for mixing and matching of different COVID-19 booster doses, and eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose.

Do I need a booster?On November 9th, the CDC strengthened its recommendation on booster doses for individuals who are 18 years and older. Everyone ages 18 and older should get a booster shot either when they are 6 months after their initial Pfizer or Moderna series or 2 months after their initial J&J vaccine.Β  Click here for the full media statement.

Do I have to get the same vaccine brand I received the first time?You may choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive as a booster shot. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

Is the booster free?Yes, the booster is free.
