Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on April 11 in the North End.

2.Β Downtown Schools for Boston Meeting: The West End Civic Association invites North End residents to hear about the efforts of Downtown Schools for Boston at their meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the West End Museum (150 Staniford St.). This meeting is open to everyone interested in neighborhood schools in the residential areas of downtown Boston.

3.Β Residents’ Association meeting:Β TheΒ North End/Waterfront Residents’ AssociationΒ will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at The Nazarro Center (30 North Bennet St.).

4. Educator award:Β Today is the deadline to submit nominations for the annual Boston Educators of the Year awards, which recognize outstanding teachers, paraprofessionals, guidance counselors, school nurses and other educators who have made a unique contribution to their students, their classrooms and their schools. Forms can be found here. Submit nominations toΒ bostoneducator@cityofboston.gov.

5. Volunteer expo: With National Volunteer Week coming up April 21-27, The Shops at Prudential Center will host theΒ 2013 Volunteer Expo today at 5:30 p.m. in the Huntington Arcade. Mix, mingle and meet with more than 50 community groups from the Boston and Greater Boston areas.
