The following was submitted by the North Reading Police Department: We have been advised by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation that the bridge on Main Street, rt.28 at the Reading-North Reading line will be restricted to two lanes for necessary proactive bridge work beginning on Thursday morning 05-02-13 . Local officials are working with MASS DOT on the matter. We expect that this will significantly impact traffic on Main Street. Unless visiting the business in the area please consider alternate routes during your commute and daily activities. These lanes restrictions have the potential to be in place for a lengthy period of time.  Please got to <a href="http://WWW.NRPd.Org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WWW.NRPd.Org</a> or visit us on face book for updates as they become available.
