Stuffed Animals Party at the Library Overnight [PHOTOS]
Nine children left their favorite stuffed animals in the trusted hands of librarians for a special sleepover at the Flint Memorial Library last week.
Three weeks ago, I thought April 16 was going to be awesome. The library was planning a stuffed animal sleepover event planned and I volunteered to take photos. Is there any cuter phrase then “stuffed animal library sleepover?”
No. I didn’t think so either.

But then, April 15, 2013 happened. After the bombing of the Boston Marathon, I was – like the rest of Massachusetts – upset, angry, sad. Could I really forget about everything for an hour or two and help out at this sleepover?
Yes.

And thanks to Emma and Dianne, the staff in the Flint’s youth room, I was able to do just that. Sure, we goofed around. We were three women playing with stuffed animals, really. But we suspended reality for just an hour or two, gave the kids some terrific photos, and had a lot of fun reminding ourselves that even though there is evil out there, there’s a lot more good in this world.
