How Many People Were Arrested in North Reading Last Year?

Welcome to You Asked...Patch Answers where we answer readers questions. We recently received questions about the amount of arrests made in North Reading in 2012. Here's your answer.
According to the North Reading Police Department, 227 arrests were made last year and 14 people were held in protective custody.
Twenty-one people were arrested for simple assault; 39 for burglary; 35 for a drug or narcotic violation; 61 for destruction, damage or vandalism; and 10 for drunkenness.
