ICYMI: North Reading Police Swear In New Officers
In case you missed it, the Town of North Reading recently swore in a pair of new NRPD officers.

The Town of North Reading swore in a pair of new officers into the North Reading Police Department earlier this week.
Officer Richard Valeri and Officer Peter DiPietro were sworn in at North Reading Police Headquarters at 6 p.m. on July 7, according to NRPD. Family, friends and town officials, including Town Administrator Michael Gilleberto, North Reading Town Clerk Barbara Stats, North Reading Board of Selectmen member Jeffrey Yull, North Reading Police Chief Michael Murphy and other representatives from NRPD, were on hand at the ceremony, police said.
DiPietro and Valeri both graduated from the Municipal Police Training Committee, full time police officer, basic recruit training academy earlier this month on July 2.

Not only were the new officers welcomed, but NRPD Chief Michael Murphy welcomed the two officers’ families into the “North Reading Police Department family,” according to the NRPD.
DiPietro and Valeri will begin their officer field training programs in upcoming weeks.
