Ipswich River Park Concert, Barbecue Postponed
North Reading announced the concert and barbecue has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The Town of North Reading informed residents that this evening’s concert and barbecue have been postponed due to inclement weather.
Due to afternoon thunderstorms and possible torrential rainfall, the concert and barbecue has been postponed until Thursday, July 9. The event will begin at the same time, with the barbecue kicking off at 5 p.m., “Curious Creatures” beginning at 5:15 p.m. and Riverboat Stompers beginning at 6:15 p.m., according to the town.
“The safety of our patrons and volunteers is first and foremost,” the Town of North Reading said on its website.

The concert and barbecue will take place at Ipswich River Park’s gazebo area, 15 Central St. in North Reading.
The town is asking for a $3 per carload event fee, which benefits Ipswich River Park improvements, the town said. Patrons will receive five raffle tickets with the $3 event fee. The barbecue is an additional charge, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $5.
