Letter to the Editor: Let’s Finish the Project Properly

After reading the NR Transcript last week, it occurred to me that our community is spending too much time trying to blame other people for the school project estimate being off. 

The bottom line is this: Last year, the cost of the project was originally projected at $108 million and now after the final estimates are in and guaranteed by the construction company, the cost is $123 million.

Now we know. That is the cost of the project as we envisioned it.

Now we know. Now let’s move forward and finish the project properly. 

This is the project that we voted yes on last year.  Please join me in voting yes again at the polls on Friday, March 22.
