Local Native Earns Spot on Miami University Synchronized Skating Team
A North Reading native is pursuing a degree and participating in athletics at Miami University.

A North Reading native is pursuing a degree and participating in athletics at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio.
Miami University student-athlete and local native Michelle Parece earned a spot on the Women’s Synchronized Skating roster, according to the university. Parece is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
According to the university, Miami University student-athletes finished the spring 2015 semester with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.313, the highest GPA ever for a single semester. Overall, 70 percent of the RedHawks finished with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and 26 of those student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA.
