Monday Essentials: High School Orientation, Drop-In Craft and More

Did you have a nice weekend? Now that Monday is here, take a look at some events planned around town for the rest of the week.

Monday, August 19: Middle School Adventure Quest

Youth Services is hosting a trip to Patriot Place. Kids will participate in 5-Wits, an interactive problem-solving show. They will complete two shows: Espionage and 20,000 Leagues. The cost is $30, but kids should bring extra money for shopping.

Tuesday, August 20: Freshman Orientation

High School freshman should attend orientation at the high school from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Class of 2017 will get a tour of the school, see a fashion show and learn about clubs and sports offered at the high school. 

Orientation will also feature a presentation from Ed Gerety, a leadership development speaker. Pizza and refreshments will be served for lunch.

Wednesday, August 21: Children's Drop-In Craft

Children are invited to the library for a drop-in craft at 3 p.m. Kids will be making hemp bracelets and keychains. This craft is for kids ages five and older.
