National Night Out’s FREE Community Event is Next Week
All welcome. All activities are FREE

The North Reading Community Impact Team (CIT) will be hosting its annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, August 5th at Ipswich River Park from 5:00pm-7:30pm. National Night Out is an event focused on strengthening North Reading by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local resource partners.
The CIT is pleased to announce that over 20 local and area vendors have committed to the event that offer programming and resources for all ages and abilities. In addition, the program will host free attractions throughout the evening including a touch-a-truck patio, petting zoo, DJ, facepainting and roaming magician. A community walk will be held at 5:00pm around the track followed by a cardio drumming performance, and Cervizzis will perform a karate demonstration. Coloring with a Hero will be available throughout the event at the Veteran’s Table and a quiet corner for those that need a break will be set up near the Flint Memorial Library table. Young people are encouraged to join and story time with Fire Chief Stats, Police Chief Zimmerman, and Veteran Services Director TJ Tedeschi also at the library table. Please see the schedule below.
The Community Impact Team and Walmart are again sponsoring free raffles. Water is being provided by the Reading Co-Op Bank, and amusements are sponsored by the Reading Rotary Club, The Savings Bank, and Church of the Good Sheppard. Additionally, the North Reading Police Department will be cooking a free barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, cheese burgers and veggie burgers.
