North Reading Natives Graduate from Assumption College

A pair of North Reading natives recently received their degrees from Assumption College.

A pair of North Reading natives recently graduates and received their degrees from Assumption College in Worcester.

Assumption College’s 98th commencement ceremony took place last month, on May 16, at the college’s H.L. Rocheleau Field. More than 450 bachelor’s degrees, 195 master’s degrees and 41 Continuing and Career Education degrees were conferred during the ceremony, according to a release from Assumption College.

The following North Reading natives received their Bachelor of Arts degrees:

  • Brian Hulley graduated with a major in accounting.
  • Alexander Kalogeropoulos graduated with a major in management and a minor in finance.

“As you prepare to go forth from Assumption, I challenge you to take what you have learned to lead a life beyond the self by contributing your time and talent in service to the community so as to create a better world for future generations,” Assumption College President Francesco C. Cesareo said. It is my hope that Assumption College has provided you with the foundation to make a life that will never case to give.”

Additionally, the college reported, Major General Robert Catalanotti, former commander of Camp Taji, the largest military base used by coalition forces in Iraq, and Terrence W. Macy, former commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, both received honorary degrees from Assumption College during the ceremony.
