North Reading High School students will take the stage this Friday, May 17 for the annual Performing Arts Variety Show. The theme this year is Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice, according to Director Allison Kane. "The theme encompasses music written by, produced by or sung by women such as Katy Perry, Carol King, Pink, and Christina Aguilera as well as musical theatre shows and big band music," Kane said. The show will feature students from all of the different performing groups at NRHS including: Introduction to Theatre, Advanced Technical Theatre, Chorus, Jass Band, Piano, Noteorious, and Masquers, Kane said. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased during all three lunches at NRHS or at the door the night of the show.
