Town Announces Top Salaries From 2014
North Reading released the top 50 salaries of general government and school employees in the town.

The Town of North Reading released information regarding the top 50 salaries for both general government and school employees for the 2014 calendar year.
The employee with the highest base pay in North Reading in 2014 was former superintendent of North Reading Public Schools, Kathleen Willis, at $159,275, according to the Town of North Reading.

The fire official with the highest regular pay figure was Fire Chief William Warnock, at $148,760, the town said. The police official with the highest regular figure was Police Chief Michael Murphy, at $158,600. The highest paid public works employee was Richard Carnevale, director of public works, at $119,620, according to the town.
Forty-eight of the 50 employees had an employee gross of more than $100,000 in 2014. Employee gross combines regular pay, overtime pay and special details.

The employee with the highest employee gross was Barry Galvin, North Reading Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief, with $193,073 for 2014, of which $191,894 was paid by North Reading, according to the town. Galvin clocked more than 1,400 overtime hours during the 2014 calendar year.
