Traffic Advisory: Roadwork at Andover, North Reading Line

North Reading Police informed residents of upcoming roadwork in the area of North Reading and Andover.

The North Reading Police Department has informed residents of upcoming roadwork at Andover and the North Reading line.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation informed the police department that paving is scheduled for Route 28 on Friday night, June 26. The roadwork will be performed in Andover at the junction of Route 28 and Route 125, police said.

The road paving will continue on Saturday morning, June 27, for Route 125. The paving will start near Merrimack College and continue south. One lane of travel will be open at this time and the other will be detoured to Hillside Road to Woodland Road to Salem Street, which will bring motorists back to Route 125, police said.

The ramps on Route 28 and Route 125 will be paved on Saturday night into Sunday morning. No paving will be performed from 7 a.m. to Sunday evening, at which time paving will continue on Route 125.

The paving schedule may be affected by weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
