Volunteers Needed to Help Clean Damon Tavern, Historic Ballroom

The work day is on April 11.

The North Reading Historical Commission is hosting a work day at the Damon Tavern from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11.

The commission is looking for volunteers to help clean and perform prep work in the recently reopened Rufus Porter Ballroom as well as other rooms on the historic second floor of the tavern, 21 Bow St.

Some work that will be done includes: washing, prep work, wallpaper removal and general cleaning.

The commission asks volunteers to bring brooms, dustpans and rubbers gloves if you have them. If not, the commission will provide them to the volunteers.
