1. Ms Lee’s Storytime, Men’s Book Discussion Group meeting

Ms Lee's Monthly Storytime will start 10:30 a.m. at Norton Public Library. Today’s topic is “There’s a Bird on Your Head!” All ages are welcome. At 6:30 p.m., the Men’s Book Discussion Group will meet to talk about “1453: The Holy War for Constantinople and the Clash of Islam and the West,” by Roger Crowley.

2. Bill Burke performance

EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Norton will welcome energetic performer Bill Burke at 1:30 p.m. Burke has been singing and acting in the Boston area and on Cape Cod for more than 18 years. All are invited to attend this free performance. For more information or to R.S.V.P., call 508-285-7745.

3. Massachusetts Civil Service Police Test

The Norton Police Department is a Civil Service Department. Full time police officers are hired from a civil service police eligibility list. The Massachusetts Civil Service Police Test is scheduled for April 20. The absolute last day to sign up for the test is April 1, 2013. The fee is $150. To sign up click here.

4. Book fair and MDA fundraiser at KinderCare

KinderCare, 515 West St., Mansfield, will hold a scholastic book fair 6:30 a.m. and Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser 11:30 a.m. The fundraiser is a Hop-A-Thon. 5. High near 55, low around 30

Today there is a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Otherwise it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 60. Light west wind will become southwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Tonight there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. It will be mostly cloudy during the early evening, then will gradually clear with a low around 28. West wind will be around 14 mph.
