1. Introduction to photography workshop

An introduction to digital photography workshop will be held 6:30 p.m. at Mansfield Bank, 225 W. Main St., Norton. Learn how to use many of the buttons and features of your digital dslr. This is an appropriate course for parents looking to get good shots of their student athlete in action, or for students looking to improve their portfolio. 2. Town cleanup volunteers and donations needed

Volunteers and donations are being sought for the second annual Keep Norton Beautiful town cleanup April 27, 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteer by registering online at www.keepnortonbeautiful.com. If the website registration is shut down, there will be information there about how you can still sign up. Volunteers will be able to sign up up until 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Donations can be sent to:

3. Norton Youth Soccer registration open
Registration is now open for Norton Youth Soccer's fall recreational season. The season runs nine consecutive weekends, starting in early September and ending in early November. Players practice once a week with games on Saturdays at the Norton Middle School. Norton boys and girls born Aug. 1, 1998 through July 31, 2008 are eligible. More information is available at www.nortonyouthsoccer.org. Deadline for registering is May 31. Registration is also open for NYS’s popular Summer Camp. 4. Great outdoors photography contest
Mass Audubon’s 2013 statewide photography contest, Picture This: Your Great Outdoors, will continue through Monday, Sept. 30. There are two age levels; 18 and Older and Under 18. Submission categories include: People in Nature, Birds, Other Animals, Plants and Fungi and Landscapes. Each entrant may submit up to five photographs, which must be taken in Massachusetts or at Mass Audubon’s Wildwood Camp, located in Rindge, NH. A grand prize winner, selected from among up to 10 winners (two from each level per category), will be awarded a $250 gift card, to be redeemed at a Mass Audubon shop or a wildlife sanctuary, in addition to being featured in Connections, Mass Audubon’s member newsletter. Other winners will receive $100 gift cards, to be redeemed at a Mass Audubon shop or a wildlife sanctuary, and up to 10 runners-up will win $50 gift cards. Additional honorable mentions may be awarded at the discretion of the judges. All submissions, regardless of original format, must be submitted online.
