1. A Drive For Norton Welcomes You To Our Third Annual Golf Tournament

A Drive for Norton is open for registration. This golf tournament is scramble format with a shotgun start June 24, 1:30 p.m. at Norton Country Club, 188 Oak St., Norton. Cost is $150 per player, $130 if you sign up by May 30th, $40 for dinner only. It includes 18 holes of golf, cart and buffet dinner. There will be a $10,000 cash prize for the first hole in one (hole 3) and much more. Proceeds to benefit Norton Parks and Recreation, Norton Youth Soccer, and Norton Hockey. 2. Trivia Tyme

Every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Trinity Bar & Restaurant hosts Trivia Tyme. Teams of up to six can compete for prizes of cash and gift certificates. Check out Trinity's website for more information.

3. Poker tournament

Speed Of Thought Playhouse (SOTP) Cafe, 39 N. Washington St.,N. Attleboro, will hold an open Texas Hold’em poker tournament. Doors open 7 p.m., cards fly by 8 p.m. Poker is free, and a buffet is available for $12. There will be cash prizes for the top finishers.

4. Norton Police Department name officers who assisted with Boston Marathon aftermath

As we start a new week, the Norton Police department would like to recognize the officers who assisted Boston Police and other agencies following last Monday's bombing. Lt. Thomas Petersen, Ptlm. John Chmielinski and David Schepis were deployed to Boston when their Metropolitian Law Enforcement Council units were requested. Norton can be proud of how these officers not only represented the Police Department, but also the Town.
