Norton VFW will hold a meat raffle 7:30 p.m. at 85 E. Main St. There will be nine raffles of meat and one 50/50 raffle. This event takes place the first Friday of each month.

George Shelton will present The History of Attleboro at EPOCH Assisted Living of Norton Thursday, April 4 at 1:30 p.m. Shelton is the executive director of the Attleboro Area Industrial Museum, which presents Attleboro’s history through engaging exhibits and programs, historic photos and documents, and participation in civic activities. Shelton and his staff strive to bring Attleboro’s history to life both inside the museum and out in the community. This event is free and open to the public. 3. CERT Training
Mansfield, Norton and Wrentham Emergency Management Agencies are offering a joint Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. This program will run Tuesdays 7 to 9:30 p.m. for nine weeks at the Mansfield Emergency Management Agency, 35 County St., Mansfield. MA 02048. CPR/First Aid/AED certification training and Final Exercise will take place on two separate Saturdays. The Mansfield/Norton/Wrentham CERT program follows the national and state standards and the needs of our community. This program is open to all and will be limited to 30 participants. Instructors will be from the Mansfield/ Norton Public Safety Community, state agencies as well as from the Mansfield/Norton Emergency Management Agencies. You must complete all classes to receive a CERT Certificate and be eligible to apply for membership to Mansfield, Norton or Wrentham CERT Team and Emergency Management Agency. This program is being offered at no cost as a community outreach service by Mansfield/Norton/Wrentham EMA and CERT Teams. 4. Super Hero Day Episode 2
Stop by The Children’s Museum in Easton, 9 Sullivan Ave., Easton, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to take part in Super Hero Day Episode 2. Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero and take part in activities that test their powers of strength and bravery. Improve ground speed with sneaker accessories, make cuffs, and enjoy Thor’s favorite calcium-rich snack. The cost of attendance for this special program is admission plus $2.50.
