5 Things Dec. 18: End of the World Party, Employment Support Group and More

1. End of the World Party and Writer’s Group
Norton Public Library will hold an End of the World Party 2:30 p.m. Watch the movie “2012,” share snacks and have fun in the community room. Then at 6 p.m. the Writer’s Group will meet to share, get feedback, and discuss the joys and challenges of writing. All writers are welcome.

2. Employment Support Group of Norton
This group is for people seeking employment. Get help with resume design, networking skills, interviewing skills and mentor support. The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the church parlor. The group is open to all. For more information email Bill Lippincott at lippin55@comcast.net.

3. Cancer Support Groups
Sturdy Memorial Hospital will offer a Cancer Support Groups meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. in conference rooms A, B and C. The group is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Oncology Department at 508-236-7010.

4. Know a charity that needs toys?
The Fox Family recently hosted a Christmas Party for the Little Wiffles and Base Buddies. The players families, Base Buddies and coaches donated a bunch of toys for a needy cause. If you know of one, email mmbkfox@comcast.net by Wednesday.

5. High near 45, low around 36
