1. Canning fundraiser

Norton Pop Warner Players and Cheerleaders will be canning for cash donations 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Roche Brothers and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Produce Barn today and Sunday, June 2 to raise money for the upcoming season.
2. Norton town pool now open

The town pool at Everett Leonard Park will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested in a season membership, you can purchase that from the lifeguards. WIFI is now available.
3. Annual Kids Fishing Derby
The Annual Kids Fishing Derby begins 7 a.m. at the water department, located at 166 John Scott Blvd. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for the biggest fish and the most fish caught. Dew Drops and punch will be served. There is no charge for this event.
4. Cornhole Commotion for a Cause
The Cornhole Commotion for a Cause will be hosted by former New England Patriots left tackle, NFL Pro Bowler, occasional ESPN analyst and perennial fan favorite Matt Light. Starting at noon, the competition will feature 128 teams made up of 256 cornhole enthusiasts, local celebrities, corporate sponsors and first timers. The teams will go through a double elimination tournament and the winners will walk away with a custom-created granite cornhole set commissioned by Matt Light. Admission is $5 per individual, $20 per family.
