Bingo is held every Friday night at St. Mary's Church. Doors open at the Parish Center 4:30 p.m., bingo begins 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of the Norton Public Library are holding their annual spring book sale through May 11. Proceeds go to the library for materials such as museum passes, movies, music and books and a variety of programs for all ages. Times are as follows:

Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - $3 a bag

3. Let’s Laugh Today workshop

Come in pairs to this special Mother’s Day Let's Laugh Today workshop 7 to 8:30 at The Healing Moon Wellness Center, 34 School St., Ste 101,Foxborough. Enjoy movement, celebration, stress-relief, partner-exercises and of course deep belly laughs. All levels of physical ability and all ages are invited. 4. National Grid to conduct aerial inspections

National Grid will begin its semi-annual aerial inspections of more than 2,900 miles of high-voltage transmission lines in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont. Starting this week, the helicopter flyovers will identify and address potential problems in the transmission lines before they impact electric service for customers. The inspections are expected to take approximately five weeks to complete, weather permitting. Flight schedules and routes may be changed on short notice due to regional weather conditions. Public safety officials in the communities over which the flights pass are notified of flight patterns. Flights will also be conducted during the summer months.

5. High near 80, low around 55

Today will be partly sunny, with a high near 80. West wind will be 3 to 8 mph. Tonight there is a 60 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind will be around 8 mph.
