5 Things Nov. 28: Breakfast With Santa, Toys for Tots and More

1. Breakfast With Santa volunteers needed
L.G. Nourse Elementary School PTA is looking for volunteers to help with Breakfast for Santa which takes place 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information or to volunteer email lgnourse_pta@yahoo.com.

2. Eat at Trinity, support Norton High School Parents Advisory Board
From 5 to 9 p.m., come by Trinity and help support the Norton High School Parents Advisory Board. Try something off the new dinner menu, let the waitress know you're there to support the PAB, and 20 percent of your purchase will be donated to the cause.

3. Breast Cancer and Diabetes Support Groups
Sturdy Memorial Hospital offers support groups on a variety of topics throughout the year. A Breast Cancer Support Group will be held 6 to 7:30 p.m. in conference rooms A, B and C.  For more information, call Ellen Gilbert at 508-236-7015. From 7 to 8:30 p.m. a Diabetes Support Group will be held in the auditorium. The topic of discussion will be Facing Food Challenges Through the Holidays presented by Peg Flocco, RN, patient educator at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. For more information, call Nursing Administration at 508-236-7166. These groups are free and open to the public.

4. Toys for Tots campaign
The Massachusetts State Police will kick off the Toys for Tots campaign led by the United States Marine Corps. At 10 a.m. Wednesday, State Police Colonel Timothy Alben, along with Troopers and Marines will gather at the South Boston State Police Barracks, 125 William Day Blvd,, South Boston.

Every year for the past 28 years, the Massachusetts State Police has worked with the Marines to collect toys for needy children by using State Police Barracks as drop off locations and assisting with toy drives throughout the state. In addition, the annual Fill the Cruiser  event will take place Dec. 1 at various Toys-R- Us locations across the state.

5. High near 40, low around 25
Today there is a 40 percent chance of snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. North wind will be 6 to 9 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 23. West wind will be 5 to 8 mph.
