5 Things Nov. 29: Smoker Raffle, Project Red Ribbon and More

1. Smoker raffle
Tom's Barber Shop is raffling off a smoker along with some other goodies like lighter fluid, a lighter, portable grilling tool set, cover and more. Tickets are $20. more pictures to follow tickets 20 dollars. For more information stop by the barber shop or call 508-285-4100.

2. Norton Playroom
All caregivers with infants and toddlers are welcome to stop by Trinitarian Congregational Church at 11 a.m. for this drop-in playgroup. Cost is $1 per child covers a snack and craft, with open play and a storytime.

3. Prints and tales
Children’s Discovery Museum, 177 Main St., Acton, is offering Making Prints at 10 a.m. and Thursday’s Tales at 11 am. Children are very curious about printing and the ability it gives them to make many identical images. Experiment with making prints using small household objects and tempera paint. See what happens when you use different sides or angles of the same object. The weekly story time utilizes books and imagination. Both programs are sponsored by MEFA’s U.Fund and Fidelity Investments.

4. Project Red Ribbon
Sturdy Memorial Hospital is once again participating in Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Project Red Ribbon, a national campaign designed to promote safe and sober driving during the holiday season, by making Red Ribbon decals available to members of the public.

Drivers across the country are being asked to adhere a Red Ribbon decal to their vehicle as a signal that they are committed to driving responsibly during the holiday season. Anyone interested in obtaining the MADD Red Ribbon decals can pick them up, free of charge, at Sturdy Memorial's Emergency Care Center, which is open 24 hours a day, or at the information desk in the main lobby.

5. High near 42, low around 26
