The next program is the grand Chanukah celebration at Emerald Square Mall Thursday, Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m.
The Emerald Square Mall once again joins the Chabad Jewish Center in inviting the entire community to celebrate the Festival of Lights at a public Menorah kindling ceremony. The grand Chanukah celebration will take place on the second floor of the Emerald Square Mall, 999 S. Washington St., North Attleboro.
Following the kindling of a large menorah, the program will feature crafts for the children, a free Chanukah raffle, lively music, donuts and more. The Menorah will be at the mall throughout the entire Chanukah.
Chanukah, a celebration for all time is highlighted by the kindling of the Menorah each night of the holiday.
"In ancient times our ancestors rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem with the Menorah. Today, we rededicate ourselves to making this world a better and brighter place," said Rabbi Yossi Kivman, director of the Chabad Jewish Center.
