Circle Change Foundation Gets Spotlighted By NESN Daily

Assistant coach for Wheaton baseball hopes to increase participation and promote the game of baseball while also addressing the academic needs of young ballplayers.

The Circle Change Foundation Inc. was founded to increase participation and promote the game of baseball while also addressing the academic needs of young ballplayers. The Circle Change Foundation was established in 2010 by Parker and co-founded by Nick Mattia of Boston, MA.

With full support from Board Members Brendan Durrigan '01,Anthony Febles '01, and William F. Parker P '01, the Foundation was able to launch its efforts to work with student-athletes during the 2011 spring season.

Coach Parker was a member of the first varsity team at Wheaton in 1998, and is now in his ninth season as an assistant coach at his alma mater, where he has contributed to ten NEWMAC Conference championships and two NCAA Division III Championship finalist teams. In addition to staffing the Lyons, Ryan has also coached the Harwich Mariners of the prestigious Cape Cod League for three summers where he instructed the pitching staff, including the 2008 league champions.

Ryan received his degree in sociology from Wheaton in 2001, and successfully completed his master's degree in higher education counseling at Bridgewater State University in 2008.
