How many children do you have in the Norton public schools? Do you have any children who previously attended Norton public schools or plan to send children to the Norton Public schools in the future? 

2 in the school system 1 entering kindergarten in the fall

What is your current involvement with the school district (PTO membership, volunteering, etc.)? 

Nys board of directors 5 yrs focusing on fundraising. Sponsorships and the nys summer camp

What is your day Job? If you are retired, what was your former job?

Inventory analyst at EMC

Why are you running for school committee? 

I am running to bring a new voice to the school department. I hope to bring some new ideas to the board. I am also trying to find another way to give back to the great town of norton

What makes you a better choice than your opponents?

Since I will have 3 children in the school system I will work hard to make sure they as well as all of the other students in the district have every advantage they can. I will work hard to bring new ideas to norton so that our school system can continue to grow and our students have all the tools they need to succeed.

What is the state of the school district? Are there problems that need fixing? If so, what would you do to fix them? 

I think that the current committee has done well to bring in a quality candidate to be the next superintendent for norton. Also with the high school project o track progress has been made. I do feel that there should be a review of staffing levels to ensure we have the needs of our students adequately met.  

As a member of the school committee, you are one vote out of a group. How well do you work with others? What is your experience with productively working in a group? 

Having been involved for years in NYS I understand that there has to be communication at all levels. While working in a group it is best to understand all points of view and if necessary come up with a compromise on the issue at hand.

What do you like to do in your free time?  

I keep busy by watching all of our Boston sports teams. I also keep busy coaching the Norton United U13 boys

Is there anything else we should know about you? 

I grew up watching my dad serve in various capacities for my home town of East Bridgewater. I have learned a lot from him about what it means to give back to the town you call home. I hope the voters of norton allow me the chance to help our students have all they need to succeed.
