Norton Cleanup this Saturday

Great Norton Cleanup this Saturday.

The Keep Norton Beautiful Committee is gearing up for this year’s Norton Cleanup event on Saturday, April 27.

“This year, 350 people are signed up already,” said cleanup task force member Allison Alioto. “We’re hoping that there’s more that will come.”

The event, which spans most of Norton and starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, will target all the main streets of town.

“And some of the roads we didn’t get to last year,” Alioto said.

Alioto added this year many local businesses have donated and sponsored the event.

“In addition to cash and raffle donations, some of the area restaurant have donated discounts for wearing the green Norton Cleanup shirt,” she said.

Selectman Robert Kimball said he felt proud to be a part of a town that takes its appearance seriously, in the private and public sector.

“Local businesses have really stepped up to help and I think that’s wonderful,” he said.
