Now that the high school season is over, Norton High wrestling coach Pat Coleman is running a program for Norton Middle School athletes.
This wrestling program began on March 5 and will continue through April 11 Tuesdays and Thursdays 3 to 5 p.m. Practices are open to boys and girls in grades 6 through 8 and over 30 participants have already signed up. Registration forms are attached to this article and available at the middle school office or through Norton Parks and Recreation, which sponsors the program. Cost of the program is $25.
Norton High wrestlers help coach and demonstrate moves. The emphasis of the program is to teach the basic skills of wrestling and to have fun.
Two meets with Randolph Middle School are scheduled and all wrestlers will get a chance to compete with opponents of similar weight.
