Marcia O'Brien, 67, of Norton, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013.

Marcia S. (Murray) O’Brien, 67, of Norton, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton.
She was the wife of the late Patrick J. O’Brien who died March 13, 2000.

Born in Pasadena, Calif. Nov. 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lois (Remlinger) Murray. She grew up in Pasadena and was a 1963 graduate of Glendora High School in Glendora, Calif. She furthered her studies and was a graduate of Citrus Junior College.
Until recently retiring in April of 2012, Mrs. O’Brien had been employed for 16 years as a credit manager for the Robert Allen Group in Foxborough.

A resident of Norton for the past 42 years, she had previously resided in N. Attleboro and attended St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Marcia loved trips to Cape Cod and spending time at the beach. Marcia also enjoyed playing bingo and especially listening to Irish Music.
She is survived by her sons James “Eric” O’Brien and his wife Kerrie of Norton and Kevin P. O’Brien of Norton; her sister Pamela Rice of Florida; her grandchildren Cody O’Brien, Tate O’Brien and Troy O’Brien; her brothers-in-laws and their wives Edward and Donna O’Brien of Lunenburg, James and Ann O’Brien of South Carolina and Dennis and Dorothy O’Brien of East Harwich; and her nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Thursday, April 4, 9 a.m. at Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Common Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, April 3, 5 to 8 p.m. at Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Marcia’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the ALS Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 315 Norwood Park South, First Floor, Norwood, MA 02062.
