Obituary: Robert E. Mulligan

Robert E. Mulligan, 55, of Norton passed away Feb. 19, 2013 at the Mount St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, R.I.

Born in Springfield, he was son of the late Patrick and Bernadette (Hogan) Mulligan.

Bob grew up and was educated in Springfield and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield. He furthered his education and was a graduate of North Adams State College and had also attended Northeastern University.

Throughout his working career, Mr. Mulligan had worked at various financial service firms, most recently at State Street in Boston.

A resident of Norton for the past 25 years, Bob was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. When not spending time with family, one of his favorite past times was playing golf, and he was a former member of the Norton Country Club.

He is survived by his children Rosemary K. Mulligan and Brendan M. Mulligan both of Norton; his siblings Ann Mulligan of Pembroke, Patrick Mulligan of Wilbraham, Eileen Mulligan of Exeter, N.H. and Frances Foster and her husband Paul of Fairhaven; and his three nephews.

His Funeral Mass was held in St. Mary’s Church. Burial was held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield.
