Robert Cheyne Jr., 83, of Middleburg, Fla., died Dec. 4, 2012.

Robert H. Cheyne Jr., 83, of Middleburg, Fla., passed away Dec. 4, 2012.
He was born on June 4, 1929 in Daytona Beach, Fla. to parents Robert and Florence Cheyne Sr.
Mr. Cheyne was a retired LCDR, having served his country in the United States Navy. He lived in the local area since 1974. He was an alumni member of Pi Kappa Phi, was a member of the Orange Park Elks Lodge and attended New Grace Church. Mr. Cheyne had been a Ham Radio Operator for over 50 years and spent time volunteering throughout Clay County and served as a Clay County Reserve Deputy Sheriff.

Mr. Cheyne is survived by his wife Patricia Cheyne; his sons Robert H. Cheyne III, Charles Cheyne of Tennessee and Rob D. Cheyne (Tracey) of Orange Park, Fla.; his daughter Pamela L. Wagner (Mark) of Pelham, Ala.; his sister Jacqueline Boudreau of Norton; his cousins Diane and Charles Thomae of Norton; his 10 grandchildren; and his great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents
