Online Dog Licensing and Payments Available

Licenses are due to expire Dec. 31.

Current 2012 dog licenses are due to expire Dec. 31. Dog licensing and payments may be done online at the Town of Norton website.

In order to take advantage of the online licensing and payment option, a current rabies certificate must be on file at the Town Clerk’s Office. For 2013 licenses a rabies certificate must have a 2013 expiration date.

Residents should know that they can license their dog as long as the rabies certificate is current at the time of licensing, you do not need to wait to have a new rabies certificate that covers the rest of the licensing year, although it is expected that you will update the dogs rabies at time of vaccination expiration and that you will provide the town clerks office with a copy.

If the rabies certificate is not on file or expired, residents may fax a copy of their new rabies certificate to 508-285-0297 or e-mail a copy to townclerksoffice@nortonmaus.com. Allow at least one week for the town clerks office to process the certificate and update the database before trying to utilize the online system.

Online payment options are ACH from checking account, MasterCard and Discover. The bank charges a convenience fee for utilizing a credit card as well as $.25 for ACH payments using a check. There is a $.50 postage fee for each license issued and tags and licenses will be mailed directly to you.
