Public Meeting to be Held on Reilly Property

Town has the option of refusing purchase of 51-acre lot.

The following information is from the Town of Norton website.

In accordance with M.G.L. c.61A, the Board of Selectmen will hold a public meeting 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at Norton Public Library concerning the Reilly Property.

The purpose of conducting the public hearing is to discuss and vote upon the Town of Norton's first refusal option to purchase approximately 51.2 acres of land, together with the easements of record and structures and improvements thereon, off Pine Street and Crane Street in Norton. The so-called Reilly Property is identified as Lot 4 and Lot 63 on Assessor's Map 24. The meeting is contingent upon a favorable vote on the article to be presented at a duly called Special Town Meeting to be held May 13.

Persons interested in commenting on this proposal but unable to attend the public meeting may submit written comments to the Selectmen's Office, Norton Municipal Center, 70 E. Main St., Norton, MA 02766.
