Route 140 Needs Sidewalks

I have lived on Route 140 for over 40 years and seen more traffic, single family homes, and businesses built up along this busy roadway. There is only one sidewalk that begins at the center of town and ends abruptly about a 1/4 mile away. It is peculiar that it ends before the gas station and Produce Barn. I see many people now walking both sides of this street. Now that there is no major grocery store in town, the Produce Barn is frequented more often. I would like to see the present sidewalk extended to Cumberland Farms and further into Mansfield by XFinity Center. Is this a pipe dream or do others feel the same?
