Tree Stand Larceny, Possible B&E and Motor Vehicle Accidents

The following information about recent local police incidents was supplied by the Norton Police Department. An arrest and/or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 6:

11:05 a.m. - Toad Island Rd.

Police responded to a call regarding the attempted larceny of a tree stand. Upon arrival, the culprit returned the tree stand to it's rightful owner. A report was taken.

9:24 p.m. - Power St.

Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident at the Power St. bridge. A blue Chevy pickup had crashed and debris were in the road. Police notified the Highway Dept. that damage had occurred at the bridge.

Dec. 7

12:38 a.m. - John Scot BLV.

Police responded to a car and a plow truck that had been involved in an accident. The driver of a jeep was complaining of a possible head injury and was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

8:17 p.m. - Old Meetinghouse Rd.

A caller reported a noise at her front door and when she went to check it out she heard someone possibly trying to enter her bulkhead.

The caller reported it may have been a distraction so her son could leave the residence.

Dec. 8

2:41 a.m. - Richardson Ave.

Emergency officials responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident. The victim had a head injury and was transported to the hospital.
