Wheaton Pre-College begins this summer

Four-week commuter program for students ages 16 to 18 to earn college credit, build life skills, have fun

  • July 10 through August 4, Monday through Thursday with open lab and studio time on Fridays.

Wheaton College has launched a four-week pre-college summer program that allows high school students the opportunity to experience Wheaton, gain college credit and develop personal life skills while having fun. Registration is currently open for the program that runs from July 10 through August 4, 2023. Space is limited; the application deadline is June 5.

For summer 2023, students can enroll in one or two immersive Wheaton courses during the day, returning home in the evening. The courses are Animation Studio, Innovation in Business and Entrepreneurship, Drawing Studio and Innovation through Digital Fabrication. The program also includes college life workshops and open studio and lab time for research and independent projects.

The rigorous academic experience is designed to introduce high school students to the demands of college-level learning and help prepare them for undergraduate success. In addition to exploring new areas of interest, students also will gain increased independence and skills in time management, self-advocacy and balancing school and life.
